How to Fix Your 360 Disk Reading Problem

All who have used an Xbox 360 have loved their time with it. It is astonishing how detailed the graphics are on these video games. But with the good comes the bad. Several problems plague this wonderful gaming system. It is not uncommon to have red light failures on the Xbox 360 gaming system. Well, heat is your main cause. This is common with most Xbox 360 problems. I'm not sure exactly, but the fact that there is so much that fits in that small console that the design does not allow the heat to flow out of the box. When the GPU and the CPU are directly influenced by the heat, there is a high possibility that your system will freeze up. In this case the DVD drive is not working properly, so reasoning it out means that the problem resides around the DVD drive itself.

A short term fix is simply turning the console off. The bad part of this is that you might have to do this multiple times. This can be annoying, but it is better than nothing. Because it can keep overheating, it is not a true fix. In order to have a permanent fix, you cannot have the DVD drive failing repeatedly.

When you Xbox won't read games and you have a warranty, send it to a Microsoft repair center. It will take patience, but your system will be repaired. You could personally fix it if you had a good and reliable repair guide to help you. There are guides that contain videos to show you each step of the process. Electronic repair skills will still be needed. If you know someone with an electronic technician background, you could ask them for help.
There is another way if doing it yourself is not appealing. Mail it to a repair center and pay around $140 dollars to get it repaired. This could take up to eight weeks. Xbox 360 not reading discs?
