Gaming companies are trying to lower their costs with fewer sales happening. In any economy there is a need though it can vary. The tester working from home normally has more work to do than those that work in the offices of the company. Home based testers are worked pretty hard as the game companies want to get a lot of work out of them. The only person who can manage properly your workload is you. Game testers working from home have a lot of paperwork that they have to keep up with and should expect contact from the company at anytime to inquire on progress.

A huge benefit is the fact that you can keep any game you have tested. What a benefit! A few game companies let you keep the actual game you tested. Other companies send you a copy when the game is released onto the market. A nice fringe benefit in either case. The gamer gets free games and a paycheck!

The Internet has numerous sites that can show you the secrets to being a game tester from your own home. Finding a game tester job can also be found at many of these sites. Application assistance is also offered by these sites. You do not want to join the first site you find. Join only ones that are reputable. Ask your gaming friends what their experience is. Choosing a good site is what you need to get started testing.

It might take some time and hard work to find these jobs, but being a home based game tester is well worth all the effort. A home based video game tester gets to be paid for playing free games.
