The Dishwasher Dead Samurai is a 2D side-scrolling game designed for the Xbox 360. It provides lots of fast action gameplay which is presented in a unique visual style. This isn't a game for the squeamish and it's not one for the young gamers in your household. In fact, this is one video game that is full of brutality and bloody scenes and should only be played by the mature gamer.

The character in which the story revolves around is not given a name but he is an undead samurai dishwasher seeking revenge. He fights his way through each level of the game which takes place in a dystopian universe until he reaches the end and kills the leader of the Cyborg army.

Storyline

In The Dishwasher Dead Samurai Xbox game, the Dishwasher was captured by the Cyborgs. They tried to make him one of their own but instead the Chef, who was his mentor, saved him. After being resurrected from death by "alien blood" he had amazing powers, which he uses to seek out and destroy the head of the Cyborg army Al Sinthesis. Flashbacks of his life are made known to the player through a sequence of comic-strips, which help to explain why he hates the Cyborg so much.

He's on a quest to get revenge on the evil cyborg army and he's determined to win. The enemy is strong but he works his way to the end of each level where he faces a boss to advance to the next level. The player travels through gravesites, train yards, opera houses and even city streets fighting off all types of adversaries while chopping his way through each level.

Extras

If you want a change of pace you can switch from the Story Mode and go to Dish Challenge or Arcade where you can enjoy a variety of different game play. Many gamers enjoy playing the guitar minigame in The Dishwasher Dead Samurai. It's played with guitar peripherals from the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series. The dishwasher dead samurai for Xbox 360 has a lot to offer the gamer who enjoys intense action mixed with brutal and bloody violence.
Weapons

The Dishwasher's starting weapon is a meat cleaver but new weapons can be earned and the player can get upgrades by defeating the enemy, bosses and by collecting "spirals". Other weapons include ancient samurai swords, Kama, chainsaws and a combo gun/shotgun. In some of the higher levels the player can acquire "Dish Magic" which can be very effective in certain siturations. Each one of the weapons has their own special strengths and weaknesses. Speed, maneuverability and vertical movements are emphasized in this game.

Other Characters

There are several other very important characters in The Dishwasher Dead Samurai that you should be familiar with. Al Sinthesis is the ruler of the Cyborg army and the one who the dishwasher is seeking out. It was created by the Fallen Engineer and it's actually a master computer. Built with televisions screens as its faces and two robotic arms, it's quite a sight.

The Chef is a mysterious character who is the mentor of and the one who saved the Dishwasher from the Cyborg. His past is unclear but he is very powerful and appears to be the only one who can stop the Fallen Engineer. He helps the Dishwasher in his war against the Cyborg.

Yuki is the Dishwasher's sister who gave herself to the Cyborg years before. He thinks she is dead but he talks about her often. The Fallen Engineer is the silent enemy who is the arch-rival of the Chief. He will only appear in the beginning and the end of the game. He rides a Cyborg Stallion and yields a Shift Blade. The last main character is the Doctor who is the one who turns the humans into machines.
