You Can Learn How to Repair Xbox 360 Systems

If you've had the experience, as most Xbox 360 gamers have, of firing up your system and seeing those dreaded three red lights of death, you've worried about how to repair Xbox 360 systems. We've all been there. Often the system will work well for a while, and then display the three red lights. Some Xbox 360 systems will alternate like this for a while, but eventually they simply stop working altogether. If your warranty has expired, and it seems that problems only arise after the warranty is useless, you don't have many options: send the system to Microsoft for repairs, fix it yourself, or buy a new one.

I've had friends who have sent there systems to Microsoft for repair, and have had them returned working fine. They had to pay about $150 for the repairs and shipping, and also had to wait nearly two months for its return, but their systems did get repaired. If you're like me, you can't really afford the cost. $150 is a lot of money to me.

When I had a problem with my Xbox 360 I searched for solutions on the Internet. If you search Google for "Xbox 360 repairs" you'll get a number of hits, but most of the suggested repairs are tricks. I've tried a few with no improvement, and quite frankly I think that some of the ideas will damage your Xbox 360 more seriously that it is already damaged. Eventually, although I hate to admit it, I had my Xbox 360 repairs done by Microsoft. I bit the bullet, waited six weeks, and got back a working Xbox 360. But, I was steamed at the cost, and not sure what I would do if it broke down again. Paying $150 once is bad enough!

The solution to my problem of Xbox 360 repairs was discovered after another Xbox 360 breakdown. Not mine this time, but one owned by a friend. He was thinking seriously about sending it into Microsoft for repairs, but when I saw him about a week later, his Xbox 360 was working fine. He said he had fixed it himself by following the videos from an Xbox 360 repair guide called The James Dean 3 Red Light Fix Pro.

After what I spent repairing my system, I'll admit to being a little miffed that he fixed his Xbox for practically nothing. He let me watch the video tutorials, and then showed me how he repaired his Xbox. It really was easy, and didn't take a computer scientist to understand the procedures.

If you're having a problem with your Xbox 360, don't spend your hard earned cash sending it to Microsoft until you give the James Dean 3 Red Light Fix Pro videos a chance to learn how to repair Xbox 360 problems on your own.
